Miniature Needle Punched rugs

Here are a couple of miniature rugs I have for sale on Creative Stores. They are made with from fine wool and a punch tool, creating a small looped pile and then backed with iron on backing to prevent the loops pulling out.

Dolls House Club Christmas project

We each had a room corner and was asked to show a song or a dream. I chose to do a Christmas song. I usually make a Christmas scene so I can display it at least once a year. Can you guess which song it is?

I have made everything apart from the fire surround and the mirror.

First serious attempt at doll making and crochet and I even knitted the Father Christmas jumper.

Now for a close up to give a clue to the song title

For any club members who don't know what it is I have attached two small 'lipstick' recorders to the back of the room corner and I've recorded the song. Trouble is they only record 30 seconds but it's enough as the sound quality is terrible.

Club Challenge

We were all given a chair to use in a scene or dress as our monthly club challenge.

I've often thought about doing a home front scene so I used this chance to make a room corner set in World War 2

The radio is a card printie, the books on make do and mend and war time cookery were scanned and printed and I used some printies from a magazine.

The wardens hat is made from paper clay and painted. Boxes were made by me, as was the cat in the basket in the corner.

Although it cannot be seen clearly there is knitting and a magazine on the chair.

It may not all be historically correct but I hope I have given the feel of the times.

After a pep talk from my brother-in-law I've started painting again. This is the first I've painted for a few months now and I shall list it on ebay.

I haven't been completely idle, I've been working on a pub for my own pleasure :)

The inside is finished but I haven't done the outside yet. I get most pleasure from making all the little things, like the Yorkshire dart board and darts.

At last I'm getting down to some work and have listed a teddy bear on ebay He is just under 2 inches tall.

I've also started painting again and have one almost finished.

Finally got round to listing the bear and rabbit on ebay and they sold :) I'll have to get busy and make some more.

This is a tiny rabbit just under 1 1/2 inches long and a five way thread jointed teddy bear which is under 2 inches tall.

Now it's getting cold in the UK I thought I would give blogging a try but this is likely to be a slow learning process.

We moved house a year ago now and my poor dolls houses took a bit of a bashing. I am in the process of fixing them back up and work on new paintings and needle felted animals.
